Yes, it's spring and I'm dreaming in cotton! Soft and silky or light and fluffy, it doesn't matter. I long for full summer days and that means filling my knitting basket with hues of cottons and storing away the "Hot" yarns for the fall. I'll usher in May with a silky combed cotton and a baby sweater. Or maybe, I'll conjure up a mercerized cotton lace cardigan for cool June nights. In the winter, I knit for style, and yes warmth. But somehow in the summer, I knit for the feel of a summer breeze, or the twinkling of stars, or the busy work of a child at play, or for the rhythm of the ocean with noisy diving gulls, or the rumble and awe of a thunderstorm, or the lazy powder puffed clouds slowly floating by. In the summer, I knit for life and the joy of living. So, it's time to pull out the cottons and dream of summer and to start knitting it into being. Happy Knitting!
